Meet Dr. Walker
Dr. Garrett Walker is a board-certified family physician and is passionate about family medicine because it allows him to care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. He believes that family medicine is the best way to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to patients and their families. He has a strong interest in obstetrical care/women's health and is passionate about providing comprehensive care to women of all ages, from preconception to menopause. He is also interested in preventive health, sports medicine, contraception, joint injections, and mental health.
Dr Walker was born in Northwest Missouri but spent most of his life up in rural east Texas and attended Sam Houston State University for his undergraduate degree. After graduating, he went on to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, TX, where he earned his medical degree. He then completed his family medicine residency at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency in Wichita, Kansas.
In his spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, and their two dogs, Nelly and Talulah. They enjoy traveling, eating good food, and playing pickleball. Dr. Walker is also an avid golfer, classic rock fan, and a diehard Chiefs/Royals fan.
